www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday November 12, 2008 - 31 Orchestra concert to feature Bach The Oakville Chamber Orchestra with Charles Demuynck, conductor, celebrates its silver anniversary 2008/09 season with the complete Brandenburg Concertos at the November 29 and 30 concert. These concertos are the pinnacle of the chamber orchestra repertoire and contain some of the most famous melodies in all of classical music. Some of the highlighted musicians are Norman Engel, trumpet; Stephen Sitarski, violin; Douglas Perry, viola and Ronald Greidanus, harpsichord. There will also be 14 other distinguished soloists. The concerts will be held Saturday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 340 Rebecca St. and Sunday Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. at St Simon's Anglican Church, 1450 Litchfield Rd. There will be a pre-concert chat half an hour beforehand. Single tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for students and $10 for children under 12. Subscriptions are also available.
