The study has been undertaken to develop, evaluate and recommend preferred alternatives for the stabilization and rehabilitation of the creek channel and banks, along with possible flood/flow control improvements along Wedgewood West (Falgarwood) Creek. A set of alternative solutions has been evaluated and a preferred solution consisting of a combination of toe stabilization and creek realignment works has been selected. Two public information sessions have been held to solicit public input regarding the alternative solutions and preferred solution. The public are invited to provide written comments on this matter to the Town of Oakville or its consulting engineer, Philips Engineering Ltd., by December 10, 2008. The study was completed in compliance with a Schedule `B' project of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process.
