The event, being held by the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), will take place at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre, 4141 Living Arts Dr., from 8 a.m. to noon. The findings of the recent community engagement activities associated with the LHIN-wide Aging at Home initiative will be highlighted, as well as population reviews and leading-edge studies. Attendees will be able to find out what seniors and their families said about how to enhance seniors' health, wellness and quality of life, as well as what the leading authorities are finding through their research and studies. Participants will also have a chance to hear findings from recent public forums, focus groups and surveys. Key speakers will include Dr. John Hirdes, professor of health studies and gerontology at the University of Waterloo and chair of the Ontario Home Care Research and Knowledge Exchange. Dates set for Oakville Waterfront Festival The 18th annual, award-winning Oakville Waterfront Festival has been scheduled for June 26-28 in Coronation Park, on the shores of Lake Ontario between downtown Oakville and Bronte. Known for its headline concerts, fireworks shows, children's village, and an array of activities for the whole family, the Festival is recognized as one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario. Founded in 1992 by a team of residents, the now hugely popular not-forprofit event is made possible with the support of hundreds of individual volunteers as well as through the generosity of Oakville's most prominent corporations.
