Among them were companies such as Genworth Financial Canada, which generated enthusiasm and awareness to the tune of $84,000 through scavenger hunts and an online auction, and provided meeting room space for the campaign committee. Other local firms recognized were BD Canada, AMEC, Dana Thermal Products Long Manufacturing, Levitt- Safety Ltd., and newcomer to the campaign Laser Networks and Unis Lumin. Organizations such as the Regional Municipality of Halton, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793, and the seniors' day program S.E.N.A.C.A were also honoured, as were individuals Will Van Nest, Chris Clapham at the Town of Oakville and The Sprott Family, which matches funds made by new donors up to $150,000.
