Doherty said The Joy of Learning Centre is an approved service provider that gets some funding from the Ministry of Youth and Child Services via ErinoakKids. She added that it is not essential for a child to have a medical referral or diagnosis to be accepted by the centre, as screening and assessment is done by the centre.
