The OSC took home 16 medals, including golds from Rachel Jones, Chanelle Sjolander, Michelle Laplante and Claire Buechler. Katie Buck, Lauren Woodward, Sarah Shelley, Jade Zeron and Moriah Chiang earned silver medals. Danielle Harris, Pheonix Miller-Bush, Daphne Boehmer, Heather Martin, Nicole Novokowsky, Liam Mahood and Lise-Anne Laplante added bronze efforts. "Having the OSC represented by so many skaters was one of our best showings this year," said OSC technical director Joni McPhail. "We are very proud of our skaters and their strong participation in events like Snowflake." Club members have two major events to look forward to. The STARSkate Championships, a highlight event for many competitive skaters, will be held Feb. 20-22 in Brampton. The OSC will then host its club competition Feb. 28 to March 1 at River Oaks Recreation Centre, when participants will showcase their skills against fellow clubmembers.
