Clyde is predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy Blanche Potter for 61 years and his son Gary Potter. He will be missed by all who knew him especially his loving children Carol Potter (Digby, NS), Pat De Adder (Oakville, ON), Stan Potter (Waterdown, ON), Vince Potter (Mississauga, ON) and R o g e r Po t t e r ( S u r r e y, B C ) , h i s 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and his 3 sisters Evelyn Ross, Doris Harry and Phyllis Moorehouse all of Kingston, Nova Scotia. David was a retired member of the Toronto Police Force for 31 years (8 of those years serving on the Board of Directors) He will be missed dearly by his wife of 38 years Zaimene. His daughters Michele (Ben), Anita and his only son Brendan. "Papa" to Joshua, Jacob and Jayden, "Booba" to Lucas, Melanie, Grace and "Grandpa" to Jordan, Tyler, Austin, Riley and Hayley. He was loved dearly by his brother Terry, sisters Maureen and Janet and all his family in England. David was a dear brother-in-law to Maureen (Trish), Mazo, Joan, Yasmine, Charles and Anthony. He will be deeply missed by all his neices and nephews. Bestfriend and "brother" to Hal Ziesman. He served on many committees with the Town of Oakville. Past member of the Oakville Legion #114. On-line condolences may be made at www.glenoaks.ca Obituary CLIFFEN, Walter Howard ­ born July 20, 19l7 in Sutton Surrey England and passed away January 27, 2009. Walter lived with his daughter Wendy and her family in Victoria from 1986 to November 2008 when he moved into The Lodge at Broadmead. Prior to moving to Victoria he and Fran lived in Southampton Ontario for a short period after his retirement but spent the majority of his years with his family in Oakville, Ontario. Summers at Sauble Beach provided many good family memories to cherish. As a young boy he was active in the Sea Cadets and The Queen's Own Rifles then went on to ser ve in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 1946. Walter will be much remembered for his love of Studebakers and never missed an opportunity to hop on the train and take off on an adventure. He will be fondly remembered and missed by many. Walt e r w a s p r e d e c e a s e d by h i s w i fe Frances in 1985, and is survived by his two daughters Patr icia Storey (Hugh) of Burlington and Wendy Vliet (Larry) of Victoria. Predeceased by brothers Bob (Cora Reid of Peterborough) and Bill (Olive of Car leton Place). Survived by sister Mildred Harris (Joe, deceased) of Peterborough. Walter is also survived by his grandchildren: Steven Storey (Cheryl), David Storey, Kirsten Vliet, Matthew Vliet, great granddaughter Holly Storey and his nieces and nephews in Ontario and Quebec. He will also be missed by his dear friend Nell with whom he enjoyed many trips, endless games of crib, golfing and a few good laughs.
