Each year, the CFUW-Oakville presents awards to financially assist young women in their pursuit of post-secondary education. The new award has been established as "a tribute to student excellence in scholarship, leadership and citizenship." It will be awarded to a graduating female student, currently attending a publicly funded Oakville high school, who will be enrolling in a Canadian university for 2009-10. The recipient is asked to demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others, and a commitment to the betterment of the school and community through positive action. Students at all Oakville public high schools can pick up more information and applications from their school guidance office or on the club's website at www.cfuwoakville.ca. High Tea for Valentine's Day at Munn's Celebrate Valentine's Day by attending a High Tea on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Munn's United Church.
