Band hopes to grow audience 23 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, March 25, 2009 Continued from page 22 Right now they are considering holding future concerts at a church in Glen Abbey. The associate conductor said there are still many people in the community that do not know about Intrada Brass. "(Attendance) has not been as high as we would have liked," Norbury said. "I don't know why this is. It's difficult to put a finger on it. It's probably just a matter of needing to build up an audience base." Norbury said that people who want to give the group a try and attend a concert will be pleasantly surprised. "These are some of the best brass players in the Toronto area," he said. "We've got people who come as far away as Kingston to play with us. There are some extremely fine players. The principal cornet, Robert Venables, also plays for the Canadian Opera Company." Intrada Brass performs Between Friends on Sunday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, 130 Navy St. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $17 for students and seniors.
