Ice season ends with loss to Hamilton The Oakville Ice has been eliminated from the Provincial Women's Hockey League playoffs. The Hamilton Hawks edged the Ice 4-3 Saturday at Canlan Ice Sports to earn a 3-1 victory in the best-of-five opening-round series. The Raiders were slated to play their first roundrobin game this morning against Norwood. Aquinas' round-robin schedule also includes games against Orleans E.S. The top two teams in each of the four five-team divisions will advance to the quarter-finals, which will be contested Friday. Medal games are scheduled for Saturday. Aquinas reached the Halton Division 1 finals this season, falling 9-8 in overtime to Burlington's Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
