Predeceased by her husband Bill, her daughter Debbie, her grandson Adam, and Brothers James and John, sister-in-law Tina, and brothers-in-law Ted Stone, and Donald Middleton. Mom will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Cyndy (Jim Miller) of West Vancouver BC, son Bill (Wendy Soanes) of Oakville, and daughter Barb (Larry) Bakstad of Banff Alberta. Grandma, Granny, Nana will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren David, Warren, Billy, Olivia, Christopher and Mackenzie, all of whom she was devoted to and loved very much. Sylvia also leaves behind her Sister Joyce Middleton, sisters-inlaw, Barb Stone and Eileen Holdridge, her nieces and nephews and many friends, and extended family here and in England. Sylvia was a registered nurse, graduating from Hamilton General Hospital in 1947, She loved her volunteer work for the Women's Auxillary OTMH, Maycourt Club of Oakville, Singing with the University Women's Choir and at The Oakville Club Cabarets, her Bridge Clubs, her art, her garden and especially her family. The Memorial Service, a celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at 1pm., Wednesday April 22, 2009 at St. Judes Church, 160 William St., Oakville. All are welcome to attend.
