(Hydro One) invites you to a Public Information Centre to learn more about its plans to reinforce electricity supply in southern Halton Region. Hydro One's Palermo Transformer Station (TS) that supplies power to the local distribution companies that serve customers in Milton, Burlington and Oakville has reached its capacity. Therefore, Hydro One is initiating a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for a new transformer station within the study area, as shown on the map below. A new transformer station will ensure an adequate and reliable supply of power to meet growing electricity demand in the region. The proposed station, being referred to as Tremaine TS for the purposes of this Class EA, would initially consist of two 230/28 kilovolt (kV) transformers, connected to the existing double-circuit 230 kV transmission lines.
