OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, April 24, 2009 · 18 Thank You to Our Volunteers! Celebrating 60 years of volunteering at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital The volunteers at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital have generously contributed their time, talents and skills to enhance our patients' and their families' hospital experience over the past 60 years. Even before the hospital was built, a dedicated group of volunteers formed an Auxiliary to support it through daily service and fundraising. This group has grown to almost 700 dedicated men, women and youth. During National Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 19 to 25, we would like to thank all our amazing volunteers for their invaluable contributions over the past 60 years. TDL Group Corporation "Casual Day for Charity" A Tremendous Success On Wednesday, March 4, 2009 all corporate employees of the TDL Group Corp. had the opportunity to participate in a "Casual Day for Charity" to support local hospitals in Canada. The Oakville Hospital Foundation is honoured to be included on this list, with the TDL offices in Oakville raising more than $650 to help fund the purchases of essential medical equipment for Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). We would also like to recognize TDL Group Corp. for matching the amount that the employees raised, doubling the impact on the health of our community. Do you work for a local business? Help make our community a healthier place to live, and ensure that your family, friends, co-workers and neighbours have access to high quality healthcare services, close to home by following TDL's example and encouraging a casual day at your place of work with proceeds donated to help fund the purchases of essential medical equipment for your community hospital.
