Great kids, great coaches and great parents = a GREAT team!!!!! The Harry Clark Memorial Little Rock Bonspiel is the largest Little Rock bonspiel in Ontario. It spans two weekends and teams play at six different clubs. This year the first and second placed teams are from the Oakville Curling Club. The two teams played against each other in the championship game on April 5, 2009. The winning team in the blue jackets are (left to right) Chris Ribau (Lead), Matthew McCallum (Second), Kyle Shea (Vice) Hale Murphy (Skip). The second placed team is made up of (left to right) Jestyn Murphy (Skip), Bridget Ribau (Vice), Nick Small (Second), Kaellie Shea (Lead). Oakville Town Centre Pharmacy Orange Crush won the Hornets Peewee Championships with a great Team performance to beat the Yellow Stingers 2 - 1 on April 5th. In the 2008 - 2009 season we won gold in 3 tournaments - Columbus, Guelph and London, as well as a Silver Medalists in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League Bantam BB division. The School of Dance's Thomas Dobronyi, 15. Rukshan DaSilva, a student from Iroquois Ridge High School, is shown accepting a cheque for $2,000 from Mitch Geddes, a member of the student council of Heritage Glen Public School. The school held one of the largest fundraisers for "Partners in Pink" campaign to raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Oakville Peewee A Hornets OWHA PROVINCIALS 2009 Bronze Medal Champions The St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School volleyball team won GOLD at the PSAA finals held at Mentor College in November. After a tense "serve-out" in the semi-finals, the team went on to win the title.
