Oakville Rangers Minor Bantam "A" returned to their home ice at Oakville Arena to win the Tri-County Championship.The Minor Bantam "A" Rangers finished their regular season first place with an impressive 21-3-4 and the least goals against in the league by a wide margin. Oakville`s Bantam White Lightning, winners of the Buffalo Pepsi Hockey Tournament held last week-end in NY state. St. Vincent Catholic School wins the Sixth Annual St. Rita Intermediate Hockey TournamentFeb 18 - 20, 2009Mayfield Arena, Caledon The Oakville Rangers Minor Midget A squad celebrates after beating out Wellington to become the 2009 Tri-County champions. The MOHA Tyke Red Division "VIKINGS" won their first ever hockey tournament at the Langton Tyke PW Bantam Tournament, in Langton Ontario. They won all 4 games to become the GOLD Medal Winners for their division. The Oakville novice red Vikings won their final two games to claim the championship at the Milton March Break Madness Tournament. Undefeated Bradford HL Tournament Jan 09 M.O.H.A. Novice Blue Division 2008-09 Champions. Team name: Caravan Kids Wranglers. Comments: Mission Accomplished!!! Game was won in overtime 2-1 The St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School swim teams saw victory in both the CIS and PSAA competitions this season. At CIS both Tadpoles and U14 teams brought home the Gold. Special mention to the team's captains Hannah Hunt and Bridget Jordan for tenacious swims and outstanding leadership on the deck. At the PSAA championship the SMLS team triumphed as the top girls team, and despite the absence of boys on the team, came in a close second in the Mixed Division. The St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School team played a great game in the 7-a-side competition at the Fall PSAA soccer tournament held at Shell Park. The team finished in the silver medal position. The St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School cross-country team completed a successful season with the U11 and U14s bringing home the Gold at the PSAA Cross Country meet. Team members as young as 10 years old represented the School with pride and conviction at this 2.5 km race. Congratulations to student Jojo Luel who won the individual U14 title. St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School's first year entering PSAA tennis yielded both 1st and 2nd place in Girl's Doubles and Gold and Silver in Girl's Singles. SMLS student Laura MacMullin will be competing at Nationals in Edmonton this year. The St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School brought home the CISAA Overall Synchronized Swimming Cup for the FIFTH YEAR IN A ROW! An outstanding accomplishment for a team of 29 swimmers, with 22 new to the sport this year. The Senior team won Gold, while the two Tadpole teams received GOLD and SILVER awards.
