Three cranes were also affected in the damage. North Park is located on Neyagawa Boulevard, north of Dundas Street. North Park arena delivered a blow n By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF The Town of Oakville has suspended construction on the North Park arena pending the outcome of an investigation into what caused the western portion of the structure's skeletal steel frame to collapse Saturday night. Police and fire officials were called to the arena's construction area, Neyagawa Boulevard, just north of Dundas Street, at around 6 p.m. following reports the collapse had taken place. No one was hurt during the incident. The Town immediately contacted the contractor, Ellis Don, who in turn quickly moved to assess the situation. As of now no official cause has been listed for the collapse although the Commissioner of Community Services Domenic Lunardo pointed out that a heavy storm was moving through the area at the time. "We have put a hold on any construction until we complete our investigation," n See Work page 3 See Website page 3 SHUTTERS FREE Shop at Home Service · · · · CALIFORNIA & PLANTATION Authorized Eclipse Shutters Dealer 905.691.4455 SHUTTERS ETC. www.shuttersetc.ca Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed Serving Oakville with Shop at Home Service Wood & Vinyl Shutters, Supplied & Installed High Quality at Affordable Prices
