Oakville's Y is the largest provider of licensed child care centres in Oakville. Programs are available for toddlers, pre-school and school-age children up to age 12. Special programs like Jolly Phonics, Risk Watch and Social Skills are used throughout the daily activities to help children grow and develop well. Nutritious snacks and meals when appropriate, are provided. "The Y wants to be sure that your children will enjoy quality-enriched, fun and safe programs," says Lorraine Pettinato, general manager of children's services with the Oakville Y. "We provide a nurturing environment with art, science, and outdoor activities." Registration for new participants is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
