Pucci is a member of the Barnabite Brothers. He presided at a mass at St. James Church, where Pucci was pastor for many years -- in fact, responsible for establishing the church and parish attended by immigrants to Oakville -- and is now retired. Mayor Rob Burton presented a plaque to Pucci at the dinner. Born in Torino, Italy, Pucci was raised in Genoa where he was schooled by Barnabite Brothers. They made such an impression on him, they are the reason he became a priest. Pucci was ordained April 8, 1939 at Rome's Basilica of St. John Lateran.
