SEMINAR TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 9TH 7:30 PM Y Your Questions Answered! So you've decided to take advantage of the rock bottom interest rates and the government tax incentives and get some work done on your home. Maybe it's that kitchen that desperately needs updating or the basement family and entertainment room that you have always wanted. Perhaps you've decided to take advantage of the lower material and labour costs and build your dream home. Whether you plan to redecorate, renovate or build you probably need a little help getting started. "Over the years we have had many customers come to us unaware of how to begin and how it all works. They don't have a clear understanding of the building process." Said Ron Bawks of Legend Homes. "They don't know whether they require a permit or the cost of doing what they have in mind. Most clients benefit from a planning meeting where we walk them through the planning process, the costs, the importance of the timing of decisions and many other important details that make the building experience a lot easier for everyone." There are many TV shows that highlight all the things that can go wrong during a renovation. Others show overnight transformations. Home owners are afraid of what they don't know, and there is nothing available to help them navigate through the confusion. Legend Homes is trying to bridge the gap by offering a series of educational seminars to address residential building issues. "These seminars are open to everyone, not just Legend clients," states Bawks. "We want to help home owners who are considering renovating or building be more aware and better informed. We find that informed customers make the best clients." The first in the series is entitled Redecorate, Renovate, Build, focusing on the differences between these types of projects. The workshop will cover pricing questions, timelines, types of contractors, and design issues and challenges. The date for the first session is Tuesday, June 9, at 7:30 pm. Staff will be on hand from 7 pm for those who wish to tour the company's design centre which has many current samples in a variety of finishes. The seminars will be held at the office of Legend Homes which is located on the northeast corner of QEW and 403 at 1660 The North Service Road, Unit 113, in Oakville. Directions are located on the company's website at www.legendhomes.net/registration where you can also register for the session online. Alternatively, you can call to register at 905 849-1234 Ext 235.
