OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, June 10, 2009 · 4 Wrong way on highway A 64-year-old Oakville man is facing a charge of impaired driving after a vehicle was stopped for allegedly travelling the wrong way on Hwy. 407 on Friday. The OPP said the incident took place at around 3:30 a.m. when reports came in of a vehicle travelling in the wrong direction -- heading east in the westbound lanes -- on Hwy. 407, approaching Mississauga Road. The misdirected adventure came to an end when a tow truck operator spotted the vehicle and blocked its way by turning on its roof lights and blocking the road.
