Benjamin Ward joins the ministry with an accomplished background in Christian ministry having directed significant faith-based projects in Bangladesh, Africa and Haiti. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Heritage College in Cambridge, Ontario with concentration in ethics as well as an MBA from Bradford University School of Management in England with concentration in operations and finance. "I am thrilled with the opportunity to lead Kerr Street Ministries forward to serve in practical and tangible ways in the Town of Oakville," said Ward. "To be able to empower individuals to live out their values collectively within the community is a worthy venture." Ward and his wife -- Becky, a teacher -- are the parents of one son. Ward's appointment begins a new chapter in KSM's ongoing story as a place of relief and hope for Oakville's most vulnerable citizens. He fills the vacancy left in 2008 by the retirement of Ron Shantz , KSM's founding director.
