Oakville Public Library Central Branch offered free Wii gaming to teens last summer and it proved to be a popular drop-in program. "The purpose of the Wii roadshow is to give people of all ages a chance to try out the Wii even if they've never played a video game before in their life. For those who are a little more expert -- then they can challenge friends and family to a friendly game of something like Wii Sports or MarioKart on the big screen," said Cole. Five branches will be providing the Wii gaming system and available games will include Guitar Hero, MarioKart, Wii Sports, Wii Play and Lego Indiana Jones. Whether you prefer the classic MarioKart or would like to some Wii sports, drop in and have some Wii fun this summer. Last month, my back door flew open from a violent gust of wind, and both dogs took off, with Scarlette in the lead and me in hot pursuit! While looking back at me, to see how close I was to catching them, they ran directly to the pet store (which we now call the candy store) and ran inside and up to the counter to get their treats! A life jacket from Outward Hound is a must for water play, in a boat by the pool or just on the beach. They are available in orange or green, and come in 5 sizes ranging from XS to XL. A great toy to take to the beach or to play fetch with in the pool is the Kong Water Wubba. This fun and playful water fetch toy is brightly coloured so it's easy to see, and dries quickly. And don't forget to take the water with you , with an H2O Gulpy. They hold 20oz of water and can easily be taken anywhere you and your dog are going! Have a great summer in and around the water!
