Introduced in 2003, the campaign gives customers and employees the opportunity to make a difference to the health of the community. Participants purchase a smile and the funds are then directed towards supporting purchases of essential medical equipment for OTMH. This year, Kevin's No Frills customers and employees helped to raise more than $3,200 -- a record high -- in support of the Maternal Child Unit and Children's Diagnostic equipment. Over the last seven years, Kevin Jesty and Debbie Escott of Kevin's No Frills have run the Smile campaign and raised nearly $20,000 for the hospital's priority equipment needs. "On behalf of the physicians and staff at OTMH, we would like to say thank you to the community for their support through this fundraiser and thank Kevin, Debbie and the staff at Kevin's No Frills for continuing to support OTMH through their Smile campaign," said Trevor Nash, community giving co-ordinator with the Oakville Hospital Foundation. Fundraising initiatives help the Oakville Hospital Foundation raise more than $3 million annually to support essential medical equipment needs at OTMH.
