He said his final goodbyes to his beloved wife Joyce (English) of 56 years; his children Dave (Jorie), Don (Shirley) and Ruth (Wayne) Feagan. His wisdom and advise will be missed by his grandsons Eric German; Ian and Michael Feagan. Bill's life was full of travel including the family camping tips to Florida and many RV trips to Texas with his wife Joyce as co-pilot. Their cabin in the woods was their place to relax. He enjoyed tending his garden and woodworking and readily shared his knowledge with others. While living in Bronte his work life began as a Stationary Engineer in the oil refineries of Clarkson and then included Baechler Lumber and eighteen years at the Goderich Salt Mine. When opportunity knocked he always took advantage to further his education and skills and became a licensed machinist and welder. We will forever be amazing by his courage and perseverance during his fifteen year battle with cancer. He encouraged us all to "Go with the flow". The kindness of all Bill's caregivers was of great support to the family. In accordance with Bill's wishes his remains have been donated to University of Western Ontario Medical Sciences. A FAMILY AND FRIENDS' REMEMBRANCE AND CELEBRATION OF BILL'S LIFE will be held at the family home, 78 Toronto St. Goderich on August 6, 2009 from 1-4:30p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society if desired.
