STATUTORY PUBLIC MEETING Drive through Facilities Study and Proposed Direction Report September 14, 2009 ­ 7 p.m. Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road - Council Chambers File: 42.15.16 Members of the public are invited to attend and provide input at this public meeting. An Interim Control By-law was passed in November 2008 by Oakville Town Council to prohibit drive-throughs until a drive through facilities study has been completed. A report outlining the Drive through Facilities Study and Proposed Direction Report will be presented. The study examines the current planning framework, the existing drive through guidelines, issues and impacts, other municipalities' policies, regulations, guidelines, options and alternatives. At this time there are no other applications, under the Act, pertaining to the subject land. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Oakville before the by-law is passed: a) the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and b) the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so. Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than 12 noon on the day of the meeting to ensure its availability to the members of council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk.
