The day of the event was incorrectly stated in the Wednesday, Aug. 19 edition of the Oakville Beaver. The annual fundraiser will be at Burlington's Spencer Smith Park. "This is a wonderful area in which to have a run as the path goes along the waterfront which is a beautiful area. Last year we opened the event up to include a stroller roll, which we are once again offering this year so moms can also participate. It's a great way to get some exercise and help a worthy cause," said Oakville resident and CCARE founder Hilda Rossi. NOTICE OF COMPLETION Oakville Transit Bus Garage Construction Environmental Assessment & Preliminary Design The Town of Oakville has completed an Environmental Project Report in accordance with Ontario Regulation 231/08 for the Oakville Transit Bus Garage Construction Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design. Following Town of Oakville Council approval in principle of the 2007 Transit Facilities Strategy, the Town retained Giffels Associates Limited / IBI Group to prepare the Oakville Transit Bus Garage Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design. This strategy identifies a need to acquire a new site and construct a new single facility that provides all essential functions including administration, operations, maintenance and storage. The preferred new location is at 430 Wyecroft Road in the Town's central industrial area south of the QEW. The ability to maintain existing service quality is being compromised and there is no opportunity for further growth of transit services at the current location. The environmental impact of this transit project was assessed and an Environmental Project Report prepared according to the transit project assessment process as prescribed in Ontario Regulation 231/08, Transit Projects and Greater Toronto Transportation Authority Undertakings. The Environmental Project Report for the Oakville Transit Bus Garage Construction Environmental Assessment is now available for a 30-day review period starting August 21, 2009 at the following locations: 1.
