The North Oakville East Secondary Plan was approved by the Ontario Municipal Board in January, 2008. The North Oakville West Secondary Plan was adopted by Council in May, 2009. The plans require the town to undertake and complete a range of implementation initiatives prior to approving development in north Oakville, including a North Oakville Zoning By-law. The purpose and effect of the By-law is to establish general regulations and zone categories in North Oakville. Initially, the lands are generally proposed to be zoned in order to permit legally existing uses, buildings and structures. The lands are bounded by Dundas Street, Ninth Line, Highway 407, the municipal boundary and Tremaine Road. Portions of the lands are subject to a Minister's Zoning Order (Ontario Regulation 481/73). Town staff and consultants will be available to answer questions.
