7 · OAKVILLE BEAVER Wednesday, September 2, 2009 Trio swarm teen and steal bicycle Halton police are seeking the public's help in finding three teens who assaulted another teen to get his bike in the McDonald's parking lot at 1500 Upper Middle Rd. earlier this month. Police said the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 19, when three males approached a teenage boy and demanded his bike. When the boy refused, one of the suspects grabbed the bike and pushed the boy away. A second suspect assaulted the boy from behind and threw him to the ground while a third suspect stood by. With the bicycle in tow, all suspects fled the area, heading east on Upper Middle Road. The stolen bicycle is described as a purple Hoffman, Condor bicycle with white handlebars and front forks. It is valued at $450. The first suspect is described as male, black, 16 years of age, 6-foot with short dark hair and a muscular build. He was wearing a white T-shirt tucked into his plaid bluegreen shorts at the time of the robbery. The second suspect is described as male, white, 16 years of age, 6-foot with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark T-shirt under a blue basketball jersey. The third suspect is described as male, white, 16 years of age, 6-foot with shortspiked blond hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and plain, light-coloured shorts. Halton police are continuing to investigate this incident and anyone with information related to it can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
