With almost two decades of outstanding hospital fundraising experience, Tina is incredibly poised to lead the team of staff and volunteers in a $60 million campaign to support the equipment needs of the New Oakville Hospital, scheduled to break ground in 2011. Ms. Triano's passion for the community has been instrumental throughout her successful career in fundraising leadership. She describes her 13 years with the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation in Mississauga as a Tina Triano Chief Executive Officer "celebration of relationships with generous and passionate donors, Oakville Hospital Foundation staff and volunteers". Ms. Triano utilized this passion to successfully manage two large-scale fundraising campaigns which merged community support with clearly demonstrated results. Ms. Triano is a strategic executive who has been a dedicated promoter of the rewards of mission-driven philanthropy. Holiday Colouring Contest Winner The Oakville Hospital Foundation would like to congratulate 13 year old Maddie for being voted as the winner of our first annual Holiday Card Colouring Contest. Maddie's drawing will be featured on the front of our holiday greeting cards this year and she will receive a $500 education grant. We would like to thank all the children who submitted their drawings and the participants who voted for their favourite holiday drawing. Starting in October, the Oakville Hospital Foundation will be selling our holiday cards in packs of 10 for $12. OTMH Auxiliary Board Positions The Auxiliary to the Oakville Trafalgar-Memorial Hospital is looking for enthusiastic, professional individuals with Board or Committee experience for the following two Board Executive positions: · · Director of Fundraising Vice President Without Portfolio 2009 Oakville Italian Invitational Thanks to the organizers and sponsors of the 30th Annual Oakville Italian Invitational Golf Tournament. This year the golf tournament raised more than $11,000 for the purchase of priority equipment at OTMH. For the past 30 years leaders from the Italian business community have gathered for a day on the links in an effort to raise funds for OTMH. More than $200,000 has been raised since the tournament's inception ­ a true display of community support. Thank you for the health of our community. The Director of Fundraising leads the Fundraising Committee and its activities, which includes expanding the committee, developing, planning and implementing all fundraising events. The Vice-President Without Portfolio chairs new Board projects, some standing committees, and will be involved in the planning and new directions for volunteers in the New Oakville Hospital, projected to open in 2014/15. Swim for Mental Health a Success The first annual Swim for Mental Health fundraiser hosted by Brookdale Swimming Pool took place the week of August 10, 2009. More than $13,000 was raised with proceeds going towards the purchase of essential equipment for both the OTMH inpatient and outpatient Mental Health Program. Frank and Lea Zamuner organized the Swim for Mental Health fundraiser and with the help of family, friends and the Frank Zamuner (middle) and his family, friends community the Zamuner's surpassed and OTMH staff their goal of swimming 1,000 lengths of Brookdale Pool in a week and their fundraising goal... an accomplishment of which that they should be proud. On behalf of the staff at OTMH, we would like to say thank you to the community for their support through this fundraiser and thank Frank and Lea for their time, energy and support of OTMH through their Swim for Mental Health fundraiser.
