Bronte Road Southbound (Regional Road #25) will be closed at the North Service Road/ramp to QEW Hamiltonbound, and Bronte Road Northbound will be closed at Wyecroft Rd. Local access to/from the QEW will be maintained north of the QEW. Local access to/from the QEW will be closed south of the QEW. Bronte Road Northbound and Southbound Detours will be via Wyecroft Rd, Third Ln and North Service Road. QEW access ramps will remain open north of the QEW, and will be closed south of the QEW. This fall, dunn street gallery will be displaying an autumnal collection called Contemporary Landscapes by a group of award-winning Canadian artists including: Laura Culic, Connie Geerts, Gillian Farnsworth, Conrad Furey, Eleanor Lowden Pidgeon, Paul Magowan, Sam Paonessa and Regolo Ricci. The exhibition will run from Oct. 1-31, with the public having the opportunity to mingle with the artists at a wine and cheese reception on Thursday, Oct. 8, 6-9 p.m. Along with the autumn themed landscapes, dunn street gallery is presenting the latest series of work from architect and artist Marc L. Gagnon. Gagnon's new Beach Day series introduces a new colour palette to his unique abstracted landscapes. Ron Eady featured at Abbozzo Gallery Artist Ron Eady presents an exhibition of paintings called Recollections from Oct. 1-18 at Abbozzo Gallery, 179 Lakeshore Rd. E. An opening reception with the artist will be held Thursday, Oct. 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. Eady was born in Toronto and educated at Sheridan College and the Ontario College of Art. He is also a member of the Ontario Society of Artists. Eady's work has been exhibited internationally and his paintings are held in collections in the USA, Canada, Japan and China. Young musicians in concert on Sunday afternoon This Sunday, a concert called Catch a Rising Star will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. National finalists of the Canadian Music Competitions ranging in age from seven to 30 will perform on piano, violin, guitar and voice. A duet featuring baritone Clarence Frazer and Oakville's own soprano Clodagh Earls will perform arias from Don Giovanni by Mozart.
