The path runs from Glenada Avenue to the mall located at 1011 Upper Middle Rd. Shortly after 11 p.m., a trio of Oakville youths were walking along the path when they were confronted by two suspects. One suspect was holding a black handgun and yelled at the victims asking them what they had in their possession. The three youths immediately said they had no money, but a second unarmed suspect grabbed one of the victims by the throat and demanded money. When the suspects didn't obtain any money -- or anything else -- they fled the scene. The victims were not injured and nothing was stolen. The suspect armed with the gun was a white man, six-foot-two, and very skinny, about 18 to 20 years old. He wore a dark-hooded sweater, black windbreaker and held the gun in his left hand. The other suspect was also a white male about 18 to 20 years old. He was about five-foot-six and wore a black-hooded sweater and a black balaclava. The gun was only described as a black handgun. Anyone with information about the incident should call investigators at the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
