The event will benefit homeless, abused and neglected animals of the community. The goal for this year's event is $60,000 to investigate cruelty, neglect and abuse and provide veterinary care for the most vulnerable animals in Oakville and Milton. Funds raised will also be used to care for orphaned animals waiting to be adopted into their `forever; home and to provide humane education and community outreach. People may raise pledges and then come out to walk for the animals. There are two walk routes -- the 5km `Homeward Bound' route winds through beautiful olde Oakville. The .5km `Happy Cat and Spot's Stroll' is perfect for children and older dogs and takes place at the Cornwall Road Park adjacent to the shelter. Registration for the walk takes place at the Cornwall Road Park. Held at the shelter, the fair will feature entertainment, food, a kids' centre with games and inflatables, pet products and craft marketplace and more.
