OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, October 16, 2009 · 18 Solar Fair has lots of energy answers On the Grapevine for OCF A Solar Fair will be held Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the Milton Sports Centre, 605 Santa Maria Blvd. in Milton. Vendors of solar hot water and photovoltaic (PV) equipment will be displaying and explaining their products throughout the afternoon. Project team members, including a financial advisor, will answer questions. Home energy auditors, hydro representatives, and local environmental groups will also have displays. A series of one-hour workshops is also being offered throughout the afternoon including: · 1 p.m. -- Solar Information, Understanding What You're Buying · 2 p.m. -- Energy Conservation and Home Energy Audits. · 3 p.m. -- Homes gone solar The Halton Residential Solar Project (HRSP) is a project of the Halton Environmental Network (HEN). HEN is an umbrella group for environmental non-profit groups in Halton Region. HEN has been holding Solar Fairs semi-annually. The group has also held information meetings across Halton and tours of new solar installations. Another solar tour will be held in November. All HRSP events are open to the public and free.
