The Crêpe Kitchen, a dream, owners Ana and Eduardo Siles shared when they arrived in Canada from Peru six years ago, opened its doors for the first time on Thursday, December 10 for the official grand opening ceremony. "We had the mayor, friends and people from our church here for the grand opening," Ana explains. "We are very excited about this project." Finding the right location was very important, as not just any location would do. "We needed a place with character," Ana explains. "You have a picture in your head and the place that was perfect for us was downtown Oakville." After many years of thinking and planning, this June we decided it was the perfect time to follow our hearts and open the restaurant. And after starting a relationship with the past owner we knew everything was meant to be." As soon as you walk into The Crêpe Kitchen you feel at home. "It is very warm and inviting," she explains. Every piece of furniture has a story to tell and not one piece is the same. "We have hand-made mirrors from Peru on one wall, Nina Laakso prints on another and an antique door and windows on a different wall," Ana says of the décor in the open concept restaurant. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
