Three OAK athletes earn three golds at Nothers meet Samantha Cameron, Jaret Charbonneau and Carter Yeudall each won three gold medals to pace the Oakville Aquatic Club (OAK) at the Nothers Invitational swim meet recently in London. Cameron won the 14-year-old girls' 1,500-metre freestyle, 200m individual medley and 200m freestyle, adding a silver in the 200m breaststroke. Charbonneau struck gold in the 14-year-old boys' 100m and 200m backstroke as well as the 400m individual medley. Yeudall was first in the 15-year-old boys' 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 800m freestyle, and claimed silver in the 50m freestyle. Cameron Byrne, Chrissa McDonald, Peter Serles and David Whiteside won two gold medals apiece. Jack Cavanagh, Alexandra Kalman, Jessica Kim and Linda Wang were OAK's other gold medalists at the meet. The Rangers doubled up the Cleveland Warriors, whipped the Mentor Cardinals 9-3 and edged the Strongsville Mustangs 5-4 to reach the final, then defeated the Mustangs 4-1 to clinch the gold.
