The event will be at 7 p.m. at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William St. and will feature presenters Haroon Siddiqui, columnist for the Toronto Star and Sally Armstrong, contributor to Maclean's, Chatelaine and other publications. The Oakville Community Centre for Peace, Ecology and Human Rights (OCCPEHR) is hosting the forum. Both presenters are highly informed about Afghanistan having spent considerable time in that country. Help pick names for new schools The Halton District School Board encourages public input in the naming of two new elementary schools in Oakville currently under construction and scheduled to open in Sept. 2010. The schools are located in the Palermo community at 2561 Valleyridge Dr. and in the Clearview community at 2860 Kingsway Dr. Suggestion forms and ballot boxes have been placed in the neighbourhood public libraries and the elementary schools where the future students currently attend.
