But we are not finished yet. We have raised 95 per cent of our 2009 fundraising goal and need your help to raise the remaining five per cent by the end of January. When you make a donation to United Way you are helping at-risk children get the best start in life and helping them to grow up healthy, happy and resilient. You are helping isolated seniors stay connected to their communities; abused women and children find a safe haven that is free from violence; and individuals overcome addictions and have a second chance at life. You are helping us build a better community for everyone. Your donations to UWO have provided hope and opportunity to more than 30,000 people in our community in areas such as crisis intervention, counselling services, trauma assessment and support for families and seniors. And we are seeing results. Acclaim Health reports 93 per cent of seniors who had volunteers visit them at home were able to live more independently in their own home. Oakville Distress Centre reports 83 per cent of callers were less lonely and isolated as a result of the interaction with do in s to hing T 2010 L INA END F K E WE $ SALE 599 $ SALE 299 $ SALE 169 staire e d Au d i o s r CallaF ce St D n the distress line.
