The event will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the 707 Galaxy Banquet Hall, located at 475 North Service Rd. East. The fundraiser will feature a silent/live auction, dancing, raffles, games and more. Admission is free and includes a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas (airfare and hotel). U10 Venom claims second tournament gold of year The Oakville Venom under-10 boys' AAA basketball team surprised defending provincial champion Blessed Sacrament to win the championship at a recent tournament in St. Catharines. Oakville defeated Blessed Sacrament 37-24 in the final to conclude an undefeated showing at the tournament and claim its second gold medal of the season. The Venom's other wins at the St. Catharines tournament included victories over the Mississauga Wolverines and London Ramblers, both teams considered to be among the best in the province. Members of the team are Reniel Jamison, Dimitris Katsilieris, Callum Baker, Michael Juricic, Victor Vargatu, Luke Seidel, Jalen Mason, Julian Lepp, Scott Ramsay, Vlad Lukomski, Rohan Saxena, Perry Zorbas and Roko Juricic.
