Fan voting took place on the Oakville Beaver's website this month ending Feb. 22. The band received the most votes for its video In the T-dot. The band features vocalist Chad Morgan, out bands Illuminate the Sky, The Issue and Geek. Aspektz will now advance to a final round of voting that places it against the Burlington regional finalist We Are Bravest and Milton's regional finalist, Sunrise East. Exhibit a tribute to a friend The paintings of an Oakville woman who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease will be on display at the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre throughout March. Betts Engell painted the artworks during her struggle with the disease. She is now in a late stage of the dementia. "It's like a window to Alzheimer's," said the art centre's owner Sybil Rampen. "The paintings show the various stages she went through." Engell had many passions in life.
