"We wanted the restaurant to represent who we are as a family and by taking on our family name, it is doing just that," owner Tony Bottino explains. Over the past week, Bottino has gone through a complete wall-to-wall transformation. "When you now walk through the doors you feel like you are at high-end expensive restaurant," he says. "The only difference is, is that you won't be spending a lot. We want to be known as an upscale, casual restaurant while maintaining our homey feel." Along with the interior facelift the restaurant received, the menu has also been revamped to reflect the new persona. "We are now serving all fresh, home made pastas as well as family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation," Tony says. "We have an 85 per cent new menu, with twists on some of the favourites to become more traditional dishes." Though the restaurant has a new name and look, regular customers can still visit Bottino and see a familiar face. "It is very important for our customers to know that we are operating under the same family ownership and we have kept all the same staff during our transformation."
