This year's WACC event will be held at the Burlington Convention Centre with keynote speaker Jeanne Beker, host of FashionTelevision. The gender-specific events aim to foster new levels of mentorship, as adult role models engage with youths to help them become informed about opportunities available. Last year's Senior Award recipients Doug and Shirley Walmsley were present at the launch party. "The awards are good because they show what people are doing in the community," Shirley said.
