Police said the robbery took place shortly after 3 p.m. when a man entered the store wearing a balaclava. The man approached the counter with his hand shoved in his jacket, indicating he had a weapon and ordered the female employee to give him money. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the store, running southbound on Kerr Street. A Halton police canine unit conducted a search of the area moments later, but was unable to locate the suspect. The store employee was not injured during the robbery and no weapon was actually seen. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, with a slim build. He was wearing a black balaclava and a black spring jacket.
