The band, whose members include Lucas Toews, Johnny McMahon, Erik Melton, Adam Shoji, Gabe Correia and Jourdan Horban, earned 78 per cent of online votes cast for its video of the song, The Way It Stays. Voting took place on the websites of the Oakville Beaver and its related publications, the Burlington Post and Milton Canadian Champion over a dozen days ending March 12. Oakville-based Aspektz came in second with its entry, In the Tdot. The Oakville band garnered 18 per cent of the online votes. Third place went to Milton's Sunrise East, whose entry Calliope drew four per cent of the online votes. For capturing the Metroland Best of the West title, We Are Bravest earns an invitation to perform at this year's Burlington Sound of Music Festival, which takes place June 17-20 along Burlington's lakeshore downtown.
