The team's goaltending tandem of Adrian Mendez and Braedan Pauley posted three consecutive shutouts to conclude the tournament, including a 2-0 blanking of the Georgetown Raiders in the championship game. Oakville's other wins in the tournament came 3-1 over Flamborough, 5-2 over St. Catharines, 4-0 over Georgetown and 3-0 over Meadowvale. The Rangers, first in Tri-County play during the regular season, were eliminated from the Ontario Minor Hockey Association playdowns in the quarter-final round. Members of the team are Josh Bork, Jack Caldwell, Brendan Cauvel, Jack Copeland, Matthew Damery, Owin Garrie, Eric Hansen, Chris Howarth, Nolan Kangas, Tyler Kennedy, Jack Modzelewski, Eric Neill, Adam Nemcsek, Joseph Serrao, Ryan Veeneman and Spencer Ward. Zoltan Nemcsek is the team's head coach, assisted by Ray Veeneman, Kevin Copeland, Tom Howarth and Chris Hudson. Linda Hansen is the team's manager. FINISHING ON TOP: The Oakville minor peewee AE Rangers won the championship at a recent tournament in Milton, concluding the competition with three consecutive shutout victories. Post wins first middleweight gold PrimeTime Personal Fitness & Boxing's T.J. Post won his first middleweight gold at the prestigious Ontario Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Tournament last weekend in London. Post defeated previously undefeated Shawn Murray of Kitchener by judges' decision in the main event final. Murray is seen by many as an up-and-coming professional prospect and was easily the stiffest test of Post's amateur career so far. Post, who earned silver the past two years as a light heavyweight, trimmed down to 161 pounds this year to easily make the middleweight class of 165.5 lbs. He knocked out his Goderich opponent in the third round of the main event semifinal. PrimeTime's Chris Black also competed at the tournament, losing a close decision in the sub-novice light heavy division in his debut fight and earning silver. "Both T.J. and Chris have worked really hard," said PrimeTime coach Greg Post, "and we are looking forward to getting back into the gym and only getting better." Oakville residents will soon have a chance to watch T.J Post and Chris Black, along with other PrimeTime fighters. PrimeTime will be hosting "An Evening of Amateur Boxing", featuring many of the Ontario Boxing Association's finest from all across Ontario. The event will take place at the Operating Engineer's Banquet Hall, Friday May 28 in Oakville. The event will be LLBO and all table seating, with tickets going on sale at PrimeTime, Friday April 16.
