A letter from Michael Pautler, the board's director of education, has been sent home to all parents to get feedback on their family's experiences with their child's school. "Earlier this year, our board unveiled a new vision statement and introduced a Strategic Planning Renewal process that will provide a framework to allow the board to develop a meaningful multi-year plan to support our growth and to reflect our commitment to continuous improvement," said Pautler. "In the initial phase of the Strategic Planning and Renewal process, we asked parents, through the Catholic School Councils, to tell us what they thought about the vision statement and to describe the ways in which the vision is evidenced in their school communities today. The survey answers will provide Halton Catholic board administrators with information to use in the Strategic Planning and Renewal process. The survey is anonymous, no individual parent or child can be identified. Responses will be reported only as group data. The survey is available for parent participation on the board's website until Friday. For more details about the parent survey, and the survey, visit www.hcdsb.org/news/2010%2004/ParentSurve y2010.pdf.
