Due to construction at Maple Grove Public School, some of its students will be going elsewhere in the next academic year. The Halton District School Board voted to have Maple Grove students from Junior Kindergarten up to Grade 5 move to the neighbouring Chisholm Public School during the construction. The renovations at Maple Grove will increase the school's capacity from 302 students to 550. The work is expected to be completed by the spring of 2011. Students in Grades 6-8 will continue to attend Maple Grove during the construction process. School board staff does not expect any disruptions to the students during construction. Because of the increase in pupils at Chisholm, several portables may be added to the school to accommodate the students.
