Still time to fill out Terry Fox survey The Terry Fox Run is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year and organizers are looking for your input. All responses received by April 30 will be entered in a draw for the chance to win a 30th Anniversary tshirt. Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope on April 12, 1980 in St. John's Newfoundland. He ran a marathon a day to raise funds for cancer research. Thirty years later, we will be remembering Terry at a special screening of The Terry Fox Movie at Encore Cinemas, 171 Speers Road, on Wednesday, May 19 at 7 pm. Admission to the movie is by donation. The 30th Annual Terry Fox Run will take place on Sunday, September 19th at 10:00 am at Coronation Park. Oakville Taste at Appleby College Oakville restaurateurs and caterers are teaming up to share food and hope. Oakville Taste 2010 is on Sunday, May 30 at Appleby College. The net proceeds from this event, which includes a silent auction, will be donated to Kerr Street Ministries, a non-denominational charity that serves 5,000 people a year, providing hope, support and care for children, youth, and lowincome families across Oakville. There will also be sponsor displays and demonstrations to round out the `flavour' of this one-of-a-kind Oakville event. The event runs 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $75 and are available at Sheridan Nurseries, Whole Foods Market, Higgins Event Rentals or online at www.oakvilletaste2010.com.
