Forty branches from the six major banks participated in a month-long campaign in April to raise funds to buy acute care beds at OakvilleTrafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). More than $144,000 was raised -- and then the race was on. Clockwise from top right, Mayor Rob Burton enjoys the ride as his team participates in the ceremonial first race against MPP Kevin Flynn. The CIBC team (Most Team Spirit) performs a cheer; RBC (Worst Driven Bed) supporters Sara (left) and Samantha Hawkins settle in to watch the race; and, the HSBC (Best Team Cheer/Top Branch Fundraiser) team races towards the finish line.
