Rotherglen was one of eight Ontario schools chosen to attend. Craig Kielburger, founder of Free the Children, Leaders Today and Me to We, presented student representatives from Rotherglen with the Free the Children's Celebration of Champions award. Rotherglen students who attended were representative of the many active participants of the Rotherglen Education in Active Leadership (REAL) program. REAL challenges students to engage in activities to discover personal strengths, connect to their local community and invest in socially-responsible living.
