Shepley earns first victory on CN Canadian Women's Tour Iroquois Ridge grad Jessica Shepley won her first CN Canadian Women's Tour title last weekend at the Tour's season-opening event in Richmond, B.C. The 27-year-old fired a final-round 1under-par 72 at Quilchena Golf and Country Club to win the event by one stroke over four other golfers. Shepley carded four birdies, three bogeys and 11 pars in her final round to finish the tournament at 1-over par. "I've been playing really well lately, findJessica Shepley ing ways to get the job done," said Shepley. "When you're playing on home soil, pride is definitely an issue. I am so happy, it's hard to describe." The victory earned Shepley a $10,000 payday, her share of the event's $60,000 purse. Ryan Adams, Sam White, Patrick Corbett and Braden Gallant provided the goals during the flurry for Oakville. The teams were tied 2-2 entering the third period. Brendan Gamble and Dylan Gilbert scored second-period markers for the Buzz, while Bryan Cole put Oakville ahead 3-2 early in the third. The win was Oakville's second in four days, following an 11-6 victory over the Guelph Regals Thursday in Guelph. Tyler Albrecht and Cole paced the Buzz against the Regals as each notched a hat trick.
